He works directly with the client offering a portfolio of past work from which to choose and utilizes customer input to fully personalize each piece. He is an artist whose philosophy is based on the importance of service, trust and integrity. His work maintains a fresh and original look.

His schooling in architecture and engineering developed his skills as a machinist, metallurgist and electrical engineer. Sometimes making his own tools, Thom deftly applies these disciplines to create breathtaking and well structured pieces that are meant to be heirlooms. He was a silversmith for five years and had a retail store in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California for 33 years on the corner of Dolores and 6th Avenues.
